I am very happy to share that our paper, Path-Aware GQL Triggers for Property Graphs, has been nominated for the Best Paper Award at CIKM 2026.

I will be in Rome from November 7 to 11 to give an oral presentation of our work.

In simple terms, we built a way for graph databases to react when an important chain of connections appears or disappears. Instead of watching only one node or one relationship at a time, our approach can watch an entire path in the graph.

For example, a system could automatically flag a suspicious sequence of money transfers, or notice when a chain of linked documents changes. We describe these rules using the new Graph Query Language (GQL), and we show how they can run efficiently in Neo4j.

I am looking forward to presenting the work and meeting the CIKM community in Rome.
